HACKATHON COMPETITION ENTITLED “OUR NATIONAL CULTURAL HERITAGE IN WORLD LANGUAGES”
The approach initiated by our Hero Arkadag to develop digital education and transition to a digital economy in our country is successfully continued today by our Esteemed President Arkadagly Hero Serdar, great attention is paid to the work of educating highly educated specialists who are proficient in digital technologies. In order for such specialists to become perfect, various competitions and Olympiads are regularly held in this field. Recently, the hackathon competition - a competition of computer programmers from various fields (designers, programmers, IT specialists), which has become widespread in the world as a tool for creating innovative solutions in various fields, is a vivid example of this.
Hackathon competition is a special platform for the creation and implementation of new ideas in a chosen subject, and it brings together people of different professions and abilities in one group and encourages them to search for new solutions based on the chosen subjects.
The hackathon competition held on May 10, 2025 by Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages among students of higher educational institutions of our country on the creation of a website that disseminates the national cultural heritage of our Motherland in foreign languages, entitled “Our National Cultural Heritage in World Languages”, is one of the most effective competitions in this area.
Speaking about the features and benefits of this competition, all members of the hackathon teams had the opportunity to develop their skills and creative abilities, find like-minded people, make friends and learn a lot. In addition, the competition helps to develop the skills of its participants, especially students, as well as to work in a team, use their time effectively, and cope with various situations.
In the Era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State, guided by the “State Program for Ensuring Cybersecurity of Turkmenistan for 2022-2025” and the “Concept for Improving the Teaching of Foreign Languages in Turkmenistan”, approved by the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, aimed at increasing the efficiency of the work of national economies and social sectors of the country through the widespread use of reliable communication and information technologies, students from 17 higher educational institutions of our country participated in this competition and demonstrated their skills. According to the results of the competition, the jury determined the winners: the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan won the main prize, Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages took the 1st place, the Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan, the Border Institute of Turkmenistan took the 2nd place, the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan, the Institute of Engineering and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan, and Magtymguly Turkmen State University took the 3rd place. The winners of the competition and its participants were awarded the “Letter of Honor” of Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages and gifts.
At the final ceremony of the competition, the participants expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag, and our Esteemed President, Arkadagly Hero Serdar, for their programmatic work in advancing science and education to new heights, which they are carrying out and implementing in our country in the Era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State.
